Humanities Writ Large Visiting Faculty Fellow (Duke University)

Duke University is seeking proposals for the 2015-16 academic year for faculty members from Liberal Arts Colleges and HBCUs to participate in a comprehensive effort to redefine the role of the humanities in undergraduate education. Recipients of this fellowship must engage with one or more research and/or teaching projects while at Duke. These Fellowships are meant to mesh individual projects with the work of Duke faculty members or with larger collaborative ventures already ongoing at Duke that involve undergraduates.

Candidates should be full-time faculty at a Liberal Arts College or HBCU. Each Fellow will be provided with a stipend equal to the current pay of the Fellow (capped at $150,000 for salary and fringe benefits, paid to his/her home institution), office space, library privileges, and research funds. Duke will assist Fellows in identifying housing.
