CFP: Constance Fenimore Woolson Society at ALA
“Teaching Recovered Women Writers”
As a follow-up to a productive roundtable on the recovery of women writers at last year’s ALA, the Constance Fenimore Woolson Society is putting together a panel for the San Francisco ALA on the subject of Teaching Recovered Women Writers. One the most urgent issues that emerged from last year’s discussion was the need to help our colleagues fit recovered writers into their courses. If they aren’t taught, then texts go out of print, writers disappear from anthologies, and the recovery process comes to a halt. Please send a brief email by Dec. 30 introducing yourself and telling us about what you would like to discuss. We highly encourage unconventional presentations rather than standard conference papers.
