English: Tenure-track, assistant professor position in English is available at Tennessee Tech University. An earned Ph.D. in English from an accredited institution by start date is required, with dissertation or other significant research in American Literature prior to 1800. Preferred specializations include Puritan, Native American/Indigenous, and/or Age of Reason literatures. Interest in diverse perspectives helpful. Prior college-level teaching experience required, substantial experience preferred. Must demonstrate active research agenda. Responsibilities include a 4/4 teaching load (includes freshman composition and undergraduate and graduate literature courses), with reductions for research possible. Peer-reviewed publications and department service required for tenure and promotion.
