Assistant Professor (Elon University)

Elon Universitys English Department seeks an American literature specialist, with a focus on pre-1865 America and the Atlantic World, at the assistant professor level, beginning August 2016. Tenure-track; Ph.D. in English is required by start date. A successful applicant will teach American literature, first-year writing, and interdisciplinary Core Curriculum courses. Applicants with demonstrated expertise in slavery/abolition, migration/diaspora, and/or Native American/indigenous literatures are especially welcome; applicants are encouraged to highlight a record of excellence in teaching and scholarship.
