Assistant Professor (Finlandia University)

Finlandia University seeks applications to fill a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level, beginning August 2015. Ph.D. required by time of appointment (August 2015).

The position requires an individual with a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students and who can contribute both to our English major and General Education curriculum. Demonstrated teaching excellence and a commitment to undergraduate teaching and service is required.

Applicants should possess a background in American Literature and/or Composition Studies. The ideal candidate will be able to teach courses in composition, American Literature, and other courses within the English core. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in English/composition, advising students, maintaining an active research program, and service.
