Visiting Professor (MIT)

The Literature Faculty at MIT seeks to hire a visiting assistant professor for the year 2015-­16, specializing in 20th century and contemporary American or Anglophone literature and film. Candidates must hold a completed PhD by July 1, 2015.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching 48 units over the course of the academic year (two subjects each semester), distributed among introductory, intermediate, and advanced subjects. Members of the Literature Faculty teach in a wide-­ranging undergraduate curriculum. To learn more about our program, go to http://lit.mit.edu/.

Please submit a letter of application, curriculum vitae, two sample syllabi (at least one integrating or focusing on film), and three letters of recommendation, including one that addresses teaching.
