English: Assistant Professor/Diverse Literatures Department of English Ball State University Muncie, Indiana Tenure-track faculty position available August 21, 2015.
Responsibilities: teach and develop undergraduate and graduate courses in diverse literatures (e.g., African-American, Native American, Latina/o, American Ethnic, or Gender Studies); teach a wide range of courses in English; publish scholarship in area of specialization; contribute to the development of departmental and course curriculum programs; direct graduate student research; participate in service activities.
Minimum qualifications: earned doctorate in English or related discipline by August 1, 2015, with specialization in diverse literatures; record of effective teaching at the college or university level; record of publications and/or presentations in area of specialization. Preferred qualifications: demonstrated expertise and experience in Early American literature, modern and contemporary drama and/or research and teaching expertise in digital and/or emerging media contexts in order to develop immersive learning opportunities.
