The Franklin & Marshall English Department invites applications for a tenure-track position, beginning Fall 2015. The rank will be Assistant Professor or Instructor, depending on qualifications. Applicants should possess or be close to completing their Ph.D. The field of specialization is 19th Century American Literature with an ability to teach 20th Century American Literature. We invite applicants to describe a subfield as well. Evidence of scholarly activity and a demonstrable commitment to undergraduate teaching are required. The 3/2 teaching load will include contributions to the general education curriculum, but not composition. F&M sponsors junior faculty leaves.
