The next meeting of the Midatlantic Study Group will take place on Sat. 21 Sept. in downtown Washington, D.C. Our afternoon (1:30-4:30) discussion will focus on the writings of Victoria Woodhull, and will be led by Cari Carpenter of West Virginia University, editor of Selected Writings of Victoria Woodhull: Suffrage, Free Love, and Eugenics (U Nebraska, 2010). We will also have a morning (10:00) tour of the Sewall-Belmont House, the headquarters of the National Woman’s Party.
